The ASDIP program is being implemented with the technical and financial support of the following international development partners.
Asian Development Bank (ADB)
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is a leading multilateral development bank dedicated to reducing poverty and promoting inclusive, sustainable, and resilient growth across Asia and the Pacific. Mongolia has been an ADB member since 1991, partnering with the bank across the public and private sectors for more than 35 years. ASDIP — the “Aimags and Soums Green Regional Development Investment Program” — is one of the largest programs in this partnership, with ADB as its principal source of financing.
European Investment Bank (EIB)
The European Investment Bank (EIB) is the European Union’s long-term lending institution and one of the world’s largest multilateral development banks. The EIB has operated in Mongolia since 2014 and has provided a total of EUR 144 million in loan and grant financing to date. It participates as a co-financier under the “Aimags and Soums Green Regional Development Investment Program” (ASDIP).
European Union (EU)
The Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Mongolia has operated in Ulaanbaatar since 2017. Through the European Investment Bank (EIB), the EU provides grant financing for ASDIP, the “Aimags and Soums Green Regional Development Investment Program.”
Green Climate Fund (GCF)
The Green Climate Fund (GCF) is the world’s largest climate finance mechanism, dedicated to supporting climate-resilient, low-carbon development in developing countries. The Fund has supported projects and programs in Mongolia since 2017 and currently provides grant financing to the ASDIP program.
